I’m sorry, I hope I have not left anyone hanging as far as visitation goes. With the holidays and a ridiculous work schedule I have not has time to post. I promise I will try to do better in the future.

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012september and the standard visitation schedule
Wednesday, September 21st, 2011
Wow, I am really late posting this. Sorry. Hopefully you figured out that the standard visitation for September weekend possessions are the 2nd, 16th and 30th of September. You will also get every Thursday this month (or Wednesday for an older order).
Also, September had labor day weekend. That would have extended the standard weekend possession until Monday at 6:00 p.m. or return to school Tuesday depending on your order. This month also has a 5th weekend which is the 5th Friday of the month, the 30th. That means you will get that weekend and then the very next Friday (the 7th) because it will be the 1st Friday of the month. Comprende?
As I always say, I am only addressing the standard possession order in Texas. If you have a modified order then you will need to review and compare your terms with what I am describing and determine the difference.
Talk to you soon…
oh goodie, look at me!
Wednesday, January 19th, 2011I am the featured “blogger” on the Texas Bar Blog. Two seconds of fame…
But wait! That is not all. I did get a little press in the Texas Bar Journal last year. See me in all my glory under the “Technology” section at the bottom of the page.

reader assistance needed…
Wednesday, July 21st, 2010
I don’t know how many of you out there have blogs. My guess is not many. Well let me tell you, it is tough to maintain a blog and come up with new content! This post is a call to all readers…if you have any requests for things you would like to know about divorce or family law in Texas, please let me know either directly or through comments to this or any other post. Additionally, if you have any suggestions on my site in general, please feel free to offer them.
The idea behind this is to generate general topics for discussion. Please don’t send an email with specific facts of your case and ask me to solve YOUR specific problem. Those types of things would be handled in another forum between an attorney and their client.
Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any ideas for topics you may have.
goodbye Gary Coleman

I have had a video link in my sidebar for Gary Coleman’s divorce for some time. Unfortunately he has recently passed away apparently under some shady circumstances. RIP Gary Coleman.
how to use an RSS feed
Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009Here is a great article on how to use an RSS feed to follow this blog and setting it up in Google Reader (like and email program to organize the sites you are following).
oops i forgot to mention….
Monday, October 27th, 2008You can also purchase very inexpensive legal advise, for Texas, a la carte for $35.00 per issue. Basically you buy an email to me for $35 where you can list all your questions. This is designed for situations in which you want to represent yourself, but have a simple legal question or two that you do not know the answer to. For $35.00 you can get that answer or answers.
Now that is some cheap legal advise!

i’m still alive
Tuesday, September 9th, 2008I still live and breathe. Things have been very hectic around the office with new clients (good), software malfunctions (bad) and a new project I have been working on in a further attempt to help people with their family law issues.
